We went to enquire about Nursery admission at Spring Buds / C P Goenka International School (One of the most sought schools in Thane) and met Mr. Naresh Vasant, General Manager. He was very co-operative and approachable every time we called / met him. He listened carefully about our concerns and queries that any parent would have for admitting their child for the first time in any school and provided us with necessary information. We visited the campus and saw the classrooms and facilities available through a school tour. We were very satisfied by the reception from Mr. Vasant and all the information he provided regarding the school along with their facilities, curriculum, transport etc.

The school has taken the opportunity of pandemic for renovating their few classrooms and reception area before the next session starts which is a great initiative. The school can be located very easily at Kapurbawdi Junction. Currently functioning till 10th for ICSE and IB boards. Soon, going to start the admissions for 11th and 12th grades as well. If you are looking for an admission at this school for your kid, do check with him and clarify all the doubts. We are definitely considering this school in our list for our child's admission.

Frequently teachers were quitting this school putting children with no sessions and no proper intimation. Temporary teachers were hired to show their covering efforts on their flaws. Parents have to always seek explanation from the management but still they have not taken things strictly. Very bad experience. Moreover the school vendor has not issued the textbooks and workbooks to the kids. My child studies in this school and i am not at all satisfied. Unprofessional approach! Please dont follow the good review, guess they are paid!

The last year result itself makes CPGIS stands out amongst all the other schools. I have myself recommended school to many of my near and dear ones for admission. The management, the teachers are all well qualified and always work towards the betterment of children. Sad to look at few negative comments posted which i deny with my utmost sincerity as they give no meaning and are only posted to give a wrong and an incorrect image of the school.

This would also be helpful to parents intending to take new admission in this school. The curriculum is excellent however execution of the same is really bad. For the last two years, the highhandedness of the school management has been so bad that students are leaving the school left right and center.
Let us first start with Springbuds International, the kindergarten wing CPGIS, wherein the school is doing good work and hence the retention of students from Springbuds to CPGIS is high. This year in Grade 1 there are division from (A-I) that’s around 11 classes in one grade ( 20 to 25 students in each class) but if we look at grade 4 there are only 3 divisions showcasing that many dissatisfied parents have moved their children to other schools. The reason is plenty however there are some that we could list below from our 4 years’ experience with CPGIS Kapurbawdi Thane
Value for Money: On an average we end up spending an average of 1.4 lacs per annum the amount could be more if add Cafeteria (25K) and Bus charges (20K) for Primary section. However, that standard of teaching seems to dip every year. The language capabilities of teaching staff is directly reflecting in the performance of students. The sentence formation in oral skills and state of incomplete notebooks directly reflects standard of coaching given to students. Last two years teacher attrition has been a challenge in all standards with many are leaving even in the middle of term. The syllabus is just run through and left on the parents to complete notes and teach the children. The staff is lethargic, even if you need a bonafide letter for your child, the time taken is 7 working days. That too after the parent provide a copy of child’s Birth certificate, Aadhar card etc which is already with the school. The school timing are from 8 AM to 2:30 PM, which extends to 0330 PM on Fridays. The child is out of the House between 0700 AM to 0730 AM and reaches home between 0300 PM to 0345 PM and 0400pm to 0445 PM on Fridays. How can you expect the child to pursue any extracurricular activities when he is spending so much time in school and then has Classwork and Homework to complete at home? That also brings us to the next topic of extracurricular activities.
Extracurricular activities: SAP as they call it consists of sports and activities such as cricket, football, basketball, dance, keyboard, skating, chess, table tennis etc, robotics. To put my experience in single like my son could hold the bat (cricket and TT) properly in the first year and could not hit the ball within the table in the second.
PTA association: Being a part of the Parents Teacher Association is a matter of pride of the parents but for us it is a double edge sword with Staff not interested to respond of half of the questions raised by parents and for PTA members having no answers to relay to the parents. Most inactive body, which is seen active on Christmas carnival, as they have to do all arrangements.
Computer lab: The computer labs are old or makeshift with laptops provide at times to students confusing them between a normal keyboard and laptop keyboard. The hardware is in dire need of upgrade, hopefully they will do that next year.
Sports: If your child is interested to make a career in sports this is no the school to be as there is hardly any interest to know the various tournaments running around the city and state leave aside the staff being with the students during tournaments. In short, the parents are left to fend themselves.
From Hygiene, point of the view both the cafeteria food and toilets need to be better managed. The point of drive is that way the school is being managed needs to the changed if they aspire to be in the top 5 aspired schools in Thane. As ranks can be bought but to maintain the image is the challenge. Some reviews written below include those of teachers working in the same institution

Currently according to me School does not have open ground next to school premises.
Fees is on higher side as compared to other ICSE schools.

School is on the service road which might make little inconvenience during the drop in and drop off the students.

Sorry, I have no experience hence cannot comment on teachers and staff.

First visit, I was asked to submit an application and was asked to come after... The teachers are good and caring but same cannot be said about admin staff. When I visited 2nd time, I was asked to come on the next day. This is not the way a professional school operates.

He was rude enough in his conversation and I didn't complete my talks also he banged the phone. School who has counsellor like Mr.Vasant who is the first one to interact with parents prior admission then am not sure what kind of staff school has. It is highly not recommended school for anyone who is planning to take admission.

If the school authority is reading my reviews and has little concern about the reviews please ask your counsellors to be little generous and polite while talking over phone. I will never ever recommend your school to anyone.. RUDE AND pathetic QUITE UNAPPROACHABLE
