joined WisdomWood High School near Begur Lake after attending an interview, demo class, and written test. Based on my performance, I was offered a position with a salary mentioned in the offer letter. The campus and environment initially seemed good, so I accepted the offer.

I started working on 27 April. However, on 6 June, when the salary was due, I was informed that the school could not pay the salary mentioned in my offer letter and instead offered a lower salary package. I was disappointed because this was different from what had been agreed upon.

Apart from the salary issue, I noticed frequent teacher resignations and new hires, and I personally felt that the management lacked stability and there were limited opportunities for growth.

I have received all my original documents back. However, my salary for the period I worked is still pending.

This post is based on my personal experience. I encourage teachers to carefully review the terms of employment and clarify salary details before joining

ABOUT CAREERS: I'm not writing this as a student or a parent. I'm writing this as someone who worked very closely with the school and saw how things operate behind the scenes. Trust me when I say I have seen it all. In my experience, this is one of the most toxic workplaces I have ever come across. Everything seems to depend on the Management's mood. Policies, decisions, expectations, and even how people are treated can change from one day to the next. One thing I noticed is that criticism is not welcomed. Employees are expected to agree, follow instructions, and not question decisions. The moment you try to set professional boundaries, speak up, or disagree, you start feeling targeted. People are hired and fired like it's nothing. I have personally seen and experienced employees terminated suddenly with little warning. In my experience, there were situations where information from private staff discussions appeared to reach management through certain individuals, and employees who were part of those discussions later became targets for disciplinary action or termination. In some cases, it seemed as though management had already decided to remove someone before the employee even had the chance to resign themselves. The turnover is unbelievable. Teachers keep changing. Principals keep changing. I have even seen senior positions filled after long interview processes only for those people to leave or be terminated within a very short period. There is very little job security. Staff can be told one day not to come back the next. Overtime, pressure, unrealistic expectations, and constant stress become normal.
Teachers are regularly asked to perform duties outside their roles. A Maths teacher may be asked to teach English. A Science teacher may be asked to handle something completely unrelated. Staff are expected to adjust to whatever is required without question. Another thing that made many employees uncomfortable was the feeling of being constantly watched. There was a general belief among staff that conversations were being monitored and overheard. Because of this, many employees did not feel comfortable speaking openly even in staff rooms or private discussions. There is no appreciation for work. Instead of focusing on supporting employees and helping them grow, there seems to be a culture of pressure, fear, and control.

If you are looking for a workplace where you can build a long-term career, learn, grow, and feel valued, this is not the place.

FOR PARENTS AND STUDENTS: If you are looking for quality education for your child, I would strongly advise you to do thorough research before taking admission. Education should be led by people who genuinely understand education, child development, and learning. From what I personally observed, many important decisions seemed to be driven more by business interests than educational values. The admission pitch and promises made to parents often do not match the reality experienced inside the school. Students are not encouraged enough to develop reading habits. The library is rarely used to its full potential, and books are generally not allowed to be taken home. Activities, programs, competitions, and opportunities that help children grow beyond academics appeared very limited compared to what parents may expect. Children need more than classrooms. They need reading, sports, creativity, leadership opportunities, public speaking, events, and experiences that help build confidence and character. Teacher turnover is extremely high. Consistency matters in a child's education, and it is difficult for students to build strong academic relationships when teachers and leadership keep changing. I also feel sorry for some of the employees who deal directly with parents because they are often expected to promote a picture that does not fully reflect the reality inside the school.

This review is based entirely on my own experience and observations while working closely with the institution.

This review may be deleted, ignored, or dismissed. But if it helps even one employee avoid a difficult experience or helps one parent make a more informed decision, then it has served its purpose.

If you are late by even one day, they charge a ₹100 penalty per day.

Even after paying fees, books and uniforms arrive after 2–3 months. Parents’ calls are rarely answered, and on top of that, the uniform changes every year.

If there is ever a list of the worst schools in Bangalore, WisdomWood High School would definitely be number one.

If the parent had a concern you will always meet a random person and their is no consistent person as the senior management and also the person in the managemet is not able to communicate in basic English. The principal is the most irresponsible person w have very met. I feel ashamed to call her a teacher. She can never be a good teacher. She just cares about the money and does not want to give proper education to the kids or does not even care about the kids in the school. She is a two faced person and can easily flip on the statements that she has given. Overall I will never even recommend this school. If you want your kids to grow in a proper educational environment which is good for them academically as well as mentally then pls dnt go for this school. Because of all the negative reviews that they are getting they have even switched off their Google reviews. Have some shame.

They have top notch facilities and all their facilities and services are being provided with fairly lesser prices compared to other schools.

So many new facilities and curriculum are being introduced which is exciting as well as informative for the kids. Highly recommend.
