Never send your kids in this hostel very bad environment is there and seniors are ragging and bullying. Very bad facilities food is not good and milk is of water and powder so less milk.

Vikas Vidyalaya was an excellent institution which produced many civil servants, actors, writers, engineers, social development professionals, doctors and what not!!! The list is endless. More than that, it produced individuals who are different and excelled wherever they went. During its peak time it excelled in academics, sports, extra curricular activities and people used to envy the students of VVR. Huge lush green campus with gurukul style of education with outstanding teachers till late who were hard-core mentors and tutored their pupils excellently. Whatever values we carry today is because of our personal mentoring by the dedicated teachers of those times. There is so much to write but I need to stop here. An educational institution par excellence!! It is not a school but a family.....

बहुत ही अच्छा स्कूल है. मैं 80 के दशक में इस स्कूल में पढ़ा था. उस समय हिप हिप हुर्रे फिल्म भी बनी थी बहुत अच्छे शिक्षक हैं यहां के. बहुत ही अनुशासन एवं संयम से विद्यार्थी को पढ़ाया जाता है. भारतीय संस्कृति एवं भारतीय समाज का रूबरू यहां कराया जाता है .जो बच्चे यहां पड़ेंगे, वह किसी भी परिस्थिति में रहकर अपने आप को ढाल लेंगे.

It was awesome residential school

I studied here. Teachers are amazing and of high calibre. Food is great. We still miss the Thursday Paneer and chole bhature.

Fond memories of this place, Great school back then ,some of the great teacher's of Mathematics, literature and science.

Excellent School with exceptional education in the whole of Eastern India. Has unmatched infrastructure and very focused and driven faculty. Sports are an integral part of education here. Worst school ever seen.\nWent here for IPSC Basketball, hostels were so smelly and the washroom were 4th class. Only 2 Basketball Courts and they are also not too good. Don't visit here worst school ever.

I just don't know about the standard of the education of the school but it so happened today that some students of the school had come to nucleus mall ranchi for shopping instead of coming into the queue they were using the unique trick . One student was getting her bill ready suddenly few more students came and started adding their bills into that,making other customers waiting. To my surprise the teacher along with them was also encouraging them for the same. It may sound funny but a teacher should try to inculcate discipline among students

Worst school nd hostel ever seen there is no any environment for study nd their all the staffs are doing business\n\nChildren use to drink alcohol and smoke🚬 .One of the warden sucha singh who allow them to do this nd also allow presonal phone to kept in the hostel.\nnd teacher of the school didn't use correct spelling\nHow can they give a better education??\n\nThere the principal of the school is also with them he doesnot listen any things from students nd parents also.

Good. School for co-curricular activities and sports\nBut really not good for acedemics.. Students are not treated equally. There is a discrimination between hostelers and day-scholars .excellent teachers left the school like my fav. Av mam and bn pandey sir... So currently it is not a good school to study. There is many other school providing quality education in ranchi with low fees as compared to vikas vidyalaya. I have studied for 1 year and had worst experience

Vikas is something unique, it doesn't feel like a school. It feels like a family. Its has a good environment and it just feel great to be a part of this school.

Great memories. Fantastic all around development. Away from hustle and bustle of city in nature's lap. Not aware about present condition as I passed 12th from here a decade ago. Spent some of the best times of my life here. Miss the Open Air Theatre and walk to the river side. Running to the dhaba and eating fresh veggis from garden. Oh and chole bhature and paneer. Who can forget the tasty veh manchurian. Will try to revisit sometime soon. Although most of the old teachers from school left..

very good when it was residential school.every thing was excellent at my time.no idea about present scenario..i enjoyed my school life in the campus which i will remember my life time.still remember every teacher .specially food can any any body . can any body give me the recipe of paneer veg which we enjoyed every thursday.
