There is a lot of burden on the students and they don’t have time for extra curricular activities at all. This school takes too much fee but still cannot build proper facilities. All they do is take extra classes, give students huge amount of homework. The school also does not promote sports or extra curricular activities. On top of that this is a very Brahmin centric school.

Don't know what kind of attitude they carry. Hope they don't transfer the same attitude to the children. After reading few other parents feel lucky having not gone through all that other parents had to go through. Visited because of proximity to the house and thought should have read reviews before going to this school.

Interview started with 3 teachers in the class.
- 1st teachers asked my kid name, father name and mother name.
- Asked about the all the different colours, my daughter said all the colours. Next animals, vegetables, circle square rectangles figures were shown and she said all, they asked her bangle and dress colours and asked her to catch the ball multiple times and she did catch it threw back to teachers multiple times.
-The interview went for close to 40 minutes. She aced it.. she literally aced it.. I was very happy seeing she doing so well, all perp was done by my wife.
- There were others tasks like placing wooden ball inside a thread, building blocks and to my surprise she aced all of it. This all she had learnt from her play school, she told the same to the teachers interviewing, when
They asked.
- Then they asked her to walk on
Straight line for which she said
She will not do it 😐
-Later they asked her to colour when she completed colouring all the three teachers clapped and there were very very happy to see a bright kid.
- For me when all the three teachers clapped after she finished colouring
- Next went to principal office she did ask the colours from the dress she was wareing and gave a butterfly puzzle when my kid assembled it in seconds principal was impressed on my babies pronunciation and later she asked about my job and my daughter wife’s job said they’re two timings and which timing is good for us and we came back home happy:
And an email came saying kid is not selected, my kid got standing claps for her interview performance from the teachers all three and we got email saying not admitted.
So my conclusion is seats are sold for high donations already for rich and affluent people, interview’s is just an eyewash.
But I don’t discourage people from trying, pls try your chance. Nothing wrong.

Applied for nursery and been for interview as scheduled.
It took more then 4 hrs for interview
We have to skip our 2.5yrs child’s lunch and sleep waiting there for interview.
After all this we get a mail as no place for occupancy without any reason. Our child did the best in interview.
They wasting parents and child’s time by inviting 1000 kids for interview just to showcase.

I didn’t visited the school yet but now feeling is this really good enough to consider ? As in this era they have the old font web pages no response on calls ….

1st of all this School is very Hindu brahmin centric school. Most of the positive comments are by them. The school definitely puts a lot of effort in maintaining the educational standards but apart from that let me point out few things which are bothersome.
1. In today's changing times, there still a lot of distinction between girls and boys. Boys and girls should not be sitting together and all that jazz.
2. Teachers cannot be vocal about their opinions. And one has to be politically correct all the time.
3. I think most students respect the teachers because they are scared but there is no genuine love and respect is present.
4. Kids are bullied. I am sure if any child will have ..say any gender identity issues, school will not create a safe environment for them.
5. Teachers look down on students who come from homes of divorced parents. They will gossip about them.
6. There is lot of pressure on studies which is of course not bad but no other extra curricular activities.
Sad part is management's unwillingness to change and sensitive. This School is definitely not diverse and have no respect for others culture.

Absolutely grateful for the experiences I've had in this school. every institution has it's positives AND negatives but the end result after a child studies in Vidya Niketan no matter up to what grade, it pays off. It's also very hard to get admission here but it is definitely worth the try!

At first, let me make one thing clear, this schools is not for normal public, hence absolutely no need to waste your time behind getting into this school. Let me prove what I’m trying to say. In this school most of the seats are reserved for alumni students, siblings and Vidyaniketan School staffs.
I tried for my kid in this school for Year 20-21 for 1st standard. Considering the kind of competition, I was very well prepared for everything, so that I’ll give my 100% to make sure my kid will get admission in this school. They’ve opened online application on 07-11-2020 4:00PM and I’ve finished putting application form on same date 4.03PM. Means, in next three mins I’ve applied application.
Now, I was under the impression that, they’ll call my kid for interview at very first day at first session. Which's suppose to be based on the first come first preference, because as I said I’ve finished applying the form in just 3mins. According to application order, I should be at max 10th position.
Guess what happened, my kid interview got scheduled on 10th day unfortunately which was the last day last session!!!!
Still I thought, it’s ok we’ll try our best, when my kid finished the oral/written test and when I was asking? he did fantastic job. I mean, while I discussing with him he explained me the answers he written along with question. Now Imagine a 5year kid telling their parents about what kind of questions he has got. He did super fantastic in the interview as he has gone rigorous preparation, and I can see the confidence at his face, but at the end he has not got selected.
Finally, they say they’ve shortage of seats. My question is if you had a shortage of seats then why you’ve called us and wasted our 4Monhts time.
The whole process is fake and waste of others time. Internally they might have already decided before, to whom they want to select. These people will demotivate kids and parents.
Just ignore this school not worth it because the complete process is not transparent
Respected Lalitha Desikan (Principal of VNS), I request, if this schools is not for normal public then please stop all that process so that parents will not have any confusion in their mind and it avoids spoiling our kids time

They strike a good balance between academics and extra curricular. Teachers are very mature and handle kids well and more importantly understand them so well. Mrs Vithani is the head of the management and she is an educationist with vision.
They listen to the students, parents and teachers sincerely and keep improving the way they run the school. Recently they have introduced group learning which seems to be good. They have "Active board" which enables students to learn in more interesting ways with audio, video, capabilities in each class.
Overall it's amazing!
